Professional PDF Page Numbering

Turning a loose collection of documents into a formal report? Consistent page numbering is standard procedure for legal bundles, academic papers, and business reports.

1

Flexible Positioning

Choose from 6 standard positions (corners or center, top or bottom). We automatically handle margin calculations so your numbers don't get cut off.

2

Custom Sequencing

Merging two docs? You can start the numbering at any value. Perfect if you are adding an appendix that starts at page 45.

3

Clean Typography

We use a standard, legible typeface that blends professionally with any document style.

Why Use a Dedicated Tool?

Sure, you can add numbers in Word before you save as PDF. But what if you have a PDF scan? Or a merge of 3 different files?

The Old Way

Open Acrobat Pro (expensive), wait for it to load, find the tool hidden in a menu...

The Andromeda Way

Drag, drop, click. Done in seconds, right in your browser, for free.

Technical Insight: Coordinate Geometry

PDFs don't have a standard page size—one page can be A4 overlap, the next a 4x6" receipt.

Andromeda PDF reads the /MediaBox or /CropBox array for each individual page. We calculate the precise X/Y integer coordinates for your chosen position (e.g. "Bottom Right"), ensuring the page number is always perfectly aligned, regardless of varying page dimensions in the same file.

Common Use Cases

Legal Bundles: Numbering exhibits for court submissions.

Thesis Papers: Adding consistent pagination to a combined PDF of chapters.
