Technical Insight: Page Tree Manipulation
PDFs store pages in a specialized B-tree structure called the Page Tree. When you reorder 500 pages, we don't move the actual image data (which is heavy).
Instead, we manipulate the lightweight pointers in the Page Tree nodes. This allows us to "move" a 50MB chapter from the end to the beginning of a document in milliseconds, as we are only shuffling references, not bytes.
